Is the AEM CAI the same as the Mazdaspeed CAI? I have heard they are the same? If so, can the Air Bypass Valve for the AEm be used on the mazdaspeed CAI to prevent hydrolock? I want to do a CAI but I drive my car all year round in New Enlgand so I am afraid of hydrolock.

even if they're not the same make, as long as the Mazdaspeed intake piping is the same diameter as the AEM piping you can still use the bypass valve...AEM usually also sells the bypass valve seperately...

Yes, Mazdaspeed developed the CAI with AEM.
No, the AEM Air Vypass Valve is not for use in turbocharged applications:

Yup that's how it is with my RX8 also. Except the MS intake already has CARB approval.
