I did not do very well. A lot of the questions were very specific to a certian model of turbo. I got a 10.

8 first try...
they should make this test variable... so you can take it, read up on the points you missed, then retake the test without it being the same one you already took.

To be fair to everyone though, Corky only discusses variable vane turbo technology fairly briefly in his book, while this test focussed largely on that technology.

BUNCH OF LOSERS!!
LOL...J/K
good test tho
i have, or used to have the corks book on PDF, i read it all and only remember some...
i didn't feel like i could build a turbocharged car after the first read...i need to read it at least 2 or 3 more times

i read it 2 times, but its not the end all of information. its a tool and should be used as such. technology changes quite often.

honesly, i was at canadian tire purchasing a heater for my garage since its freezing and I am doing an engine swap. I saw Honeywell actually made heaters and I figured hell if they can build turbos they can build heaters. Let me just say that it was the biggest piece of crap I have every bought and was returned withina day or two cause it stopped working, when I brought it back the guy who returned says they always get honeywell stuff being retuned and that the brand is shit. wasnt too impressed with Honeyell (yupnope)

Fun little test ... I didn't care for the product specific question, but rather the more general knowledge type questions. I managed a 12. It helps that I work at GE designing jet engine hardware, so there are lots of similarities in design philosophy and design features - makes me feel like I'm actually learning something at work!

hmm
honeywell is garrett
being that they were the ones actually inventing the thermostat for climate control..you would think they make good appliances..
maybe honeywell - canada isn't as good...
i've never owned anything mad eby honeywell except the turbo on my car
