I think we all need to figure out a way to get some of the overseas part for our AMERICAN CX-7s. I just wrote a email to Mazda Australia, about getting the turn signal mirrors, the fog lights, and the front and rear silver plates (like the ones you see on the Nissan Muranos). Hopefully someone will get in touch with me, because I have a friend in Australia, that would ship them to me. I just need to know if the electrical items are just plug-ins or if they need to be spliced in.

I'm in if we want to get up a group order for some stuff. I saw several things in the e-catalogue that I am interested in getting (at least based on the pictures since I can't read Japanese)...

I don't suppose there is an English write-up for these anywhere is there?(ughdance)

From what I read on Ebay it looks like they are (the side mirrors with turn signal)... Looks like they will have to be painted though if I am reading it right which would be a bit of a pain. I would like to know more about them before I bite...

Do you guys think we have the necessary wiring for the side mirror w/turn signal?

I'm definitely interested in a group buy for the side mirrors and the front lip if they both will fit our US spec car without extensive modification.

Thanks for the help, I myself would be interested in getting the turn signal mirrors, the fog lights, and the front and rear silver plates (like the ones you see on the Nissan Muranos). I just need to know if the electrical items are just plug-ins or if they need to be spliced in. AND if these items would fit the AMERICAN CX-7.
P.S. Did anyone else notice all the extra PIANO BLACK pieces? I think I might get one of those dash kits in black and use a couple of pieces here and there.

Great find!

I'm in for the metal rear and front panels, the metal trunk kickplate, and the metal door kickplates (assuming they're not outrageously priced).

MITZA

You know all this stuff will be marked up and expensive as hell the items people want to begin with are not cheap either market(check Australia's Mazda site those Murano look alike guards are over $400 each no shipping) ,if someone is going to take time messing with shipping ,currency etc..... it should have a mark up all this stuff will have to go through customs unless it comes in bulk through cargo. I like people asking do ya think its prewired for this and that.. come on like anyone in the US has this stuff this link was just started. I think the Cx-9 will have the signal mirrors wait for them the rest of the stuff I think is just pissing money away the only thing I'm interested in is the front air -damn (which is sold as a Aero kit front and rear spoiler- We all have a rear spoiler Stock) and its length of the whole front of the car it will not go local shipping. I'm waiting for someone to ask will it void my warranty. What the F! (ughdance)

I'm surprised noone wants the aroma accessory on the last page LOL !

----Wait till 08 I bet Mazda will update there accessory line-up I have a contacted my parts dept and they are bringing this up to there local parts rep. I printed the Jap spec pages and gave it to him to present to Mazda North America. Others Please do this too so its more than 1 guy with interest. Mazda North America can get this stuff here cheaper than any exporter can. If theres interest and more than 1 person it will work they want to make money off America. Were all suckers so lets go ...

MZ CX-7 AB
12-21-2006, 09:32 PM
MITZA, when I posted the link to the accessory page, I did not intend to piss anyone off. I simply wanted others to see the options open to all. Now if you don't want the side mirrors, that's fine. However some others may want them. As for mark up, I remember when I had my '04 Mazda 3 & wanted to get a flip key. I researched it on another Mazda forum site, found the part numbers & got the parts. I was amazed to get the parts at less then half the cost in the USA. Being from Canada, some parts are more, some are less. We'll just have to wait & see.

MITZA
12-21-2006, 09:44 PM
YES,I'm not pissed I want most of the same stuff but I think we can work with Mazda North America I don't know why people are afraid to open there mouths to the dealer and manufacturer, Its not that hard and they do respond.

MZ CX-7 AB
12-21-2006, 09:52 PM
I agree completely! I am going to talk to my dealer. Depending on their response-if they respond with "we can't get that here". I will then contact Mazda Canada. Maybe if both Mazda Canada & Mazda USA get the same requests, well who knows...

MITZA
12-21-2006, 10:16 PM
All dealers are different the ones I called were way helpful they said the regional parts manager said they need to know what Mazda owners want, so I see progress but it takes many to show there is a strong market for them to stock them in the parts warehouse in Ca. Honestly If I can save money on all the tariffs and shipping and whatever else ,I have the time I will keep contacting Mazda until I can get someone. We need part #'s also on these non-us accessories. Some of the parts they were questioning of course the NHTSA has import car manufactures by the balls so some stuff might not meet US safety regulations that might be a factor too what Mazda North America can sell and why our cars differ from Japan and Euro Specs. Its all Goverment regulations.

I searched hours today and emailed a few Exporters man its a chore just the language and money barriers..

---CX-9 has turn signal mirrors same as J-spec CX-7 looks like the same mirror and if the paints codes are the same -BINGO -----------------Keep that in mind. see mazdausa.com

MITZA, I contacted Mazda Canada yesterday, they asked me to first go through the "build & price" area on the Mazda Canada website to see if the part was listed there.

The parts I would most like to start with is the door sills & the front "Sporty" lip spoiler. These parts were not on their website list.

I have replied to Mazda Canada's response asking for the availability on these first.

By the way. I see on another one of your posts that we need part numbers. If you try to blow up the image showing the parts in question, there are some part numbers listed.

I asked Mazda Canada about these 2 parts: door sill plates, I believe the part number listed is: E221 V1 370 (DM3D) & front lip spoiler listed under the Sporty Style, the part number listed
there is: E221 V4 9Z0 (DD0C). I am hoping these are good part numbers.

Mazda Canada's response to my first e-mail was:

"If there is any specific accessory you are interested in and is not listed on the website, please let us know and we will review your request with the Parts and Accessories Department with our counterpart in Japan."

Here are the part #s:
E221-V3-296 (DT3A)--Front Plate
E221-VE-900 (DT5S)--Rear Plate
G22B-V0-170 (HU6Q)--Seat Protector
B33A-V7-220 (EF2Q)--Fog Lights
E221-V1-370 (DM3D)--Side Sills

***THESE are off the JAPANESE SITE

Let me know if you have any luck. I have a friend in Australia, that can get the PLATES, and SILLS if I want. I need to see some intallation instructions first.

It's cool, but we find the voice security system (http://www.mazda.co.jp/accessories/safety/security/bugrlar_alarm.html) a bit annoying, so we canceled that option. Instead we just got the regular security system one and save the $1000 for other stuff.

Hi Everyone

I am an Aussie waiting for my CX-7 to arrive. My dealer says it was built on XMAS day in Japan so I expect it in a couple of weeks.

If it makes you feel any better, we only get 2 models to pick from, no technical package and limited accessories - I am coming from a Toyota Highlander (Kluger in Australia) with Sat Nav, so I am busy pricing portable units.

My guess is we have got a couple of extras on our CX-7s so they compete directly against the Subarus and Toyotas.

Can't wait for mine to arrive - Copper Red Luxury version - moon roof, bose, climate AC etc.

Front air dam E221 V4 9Z0 (DD0C)?

I saw some propaganda at the dealer today from before the CX-7 was on sale here, and it listed the front air dam as an option that would be available "mid-2006." Yes, that's two-ought-ought-six. Either Mazda is a bit late, or they changed their minds.
