Well, my lazyness strikes again. When removing my manifold and turbo (along with the s-pipe and j-pipe attatched) I opted not to remove the radiator to get the room I needed.

Taking it out went fine but when putting it back in I poked a hole in the radiator :(

Anyway, I've been looking around and as far as I can tell AWR is the only aftermarket radiator made for the MSP (short). Are there any others?

I don't think I'm going to drop $500 for a radiator so I was wondering if anyone knew what they ran at a dealer. I'm gonna give them a call tomorrow but I'm not very optimistic.

Lastly, does anyone know of any other place to get a replacement or is this pretty much dealer only?

Thanks,
Brandon

P.S. - The reason I was taking off the manifold and turbo with the S and J pipes attatched is because, in short, one bolt is stripped and won't come out; I was taking it all out to weld them together so putting it all back in I had to have them both on no matter what.

$500 for a radiator is flat out ridiculous unless you a) have so much money that you don't care or b) have a balanced and blue printed engine IMO.

Try radiatorexpress.com, they have oem radiators and ship nationwide. I feel your pain, I have been lazy in the same way and had to buy a new radiator as a result in a different car of mine. In hindsight, its a lot easier to drain the coolant, remove a few brackets, and disconnect some sensors.

PS. you'll have to email them and give them the Year, make, model, engine size, and transmission for the MSP. Their site does not have listed prices for our cars. But I do not doubt that they can get one and it will be under $150 I bet.

Padi $360 shipped for one from the dealer :(

I tried radiatorexpress.com, called them and they said they did not stock the MSP ones yet.

Oh well, live and learn...DON'T BE LAZY! lol

Man, I just bought a radiator for my Accord at O'Reilly not too long ago for $100. It was like $110 at Advance and Autozone. I can't imagine a Protege radiator being more than $150...maybe $175....

I saw that but I needed one before the weekend and that had 5 days left on it on Monday.

I wasn't really shocked at the dealer pricing. Being that they are the only other option to a replacement besides AWR they can jack the price to whatever they want.
