View Full Version : Exhaust Tip Cracking

Has anyone else had a problem with the Racing Beat Exhaust Tip cracking? Its basically seperating on the inside edge. Luckily Ebay sells S.S. mufflers cheap!

If you still have warranty, take it to mazda. They will replace the axle back with a better "mazdaspeed" version that won't crack.

Well, Im a hard head, so I had already bought a muffler on Ebay. I had it installed, probably should had been smart and used the warranty. It sounds kinda cool tho. im satisfied.

Put the cracked one back on, go to the dealer and get a replacement, bring it back home and put ur ebay one back on and sell the new one from the dealer. Just an idea.

86k+3yo=probably no more warranty

My EXTENDED warranty on my '02 just expired this past Oct. I did make it to the date before the milage, but your mileage is high.

Thought about that, but they had to weld it on fromn the Axle back. i did keep the Racing Beat Muffler. Thinkin about cleaning it up and putting it on Ebay, im gonna tell about the cracked tip in the Description, Im not into ripping people off.

It's an old issue. I had mine replaced by the dealer, but traded it back for the old one, even though it was cracked. The round one that they give you is too loud, especially of you have other mods on your exhaust like me.

Really, I met some guy that had it. it sounded a lil different, better I think, he only had CAI tho.
I just went with a N1/Fireball style off Ebay, wanted a lil tone..... im satisfied.
It will hold me off til I work up to a Turbo-back.
