just right volume.. it's not annoying. I never heard a sound with stock unit if you took it off you'd see why totally restricted. I bought the kit from crossover auto and all the parts I needed were there. I recommend it to everyone!

Maybe you can record a sound clip for everyone?

I'm still very surprised to see how many people are running their BOV's VTA. This car is not meant to run that way people! Why would you want to make a car that already runs extremely rich to run even more so! Even if it is only temporarily. (i.e. between shifts,or when off the throttle) Do some research into people that have been running their turbo cars VTA when they were designed to be recirculated and you'll see a lot of them eventually realizing the error of their ways and switching back to re-circ.
Anyway to each their own I guess.

^^ agreed. I smell MAF relocation, or people converting their shit to recirc. The SSQV has a recirc attachment available.

Oh and you can buy inserts to change the sound that it makes to make it a lower pitch if you want :)

Honestly, its not that much of a difference to some people. If you want pure out performance run it recirculated, but for the boy racer in all of us who wants that noise we'll sacrifice some performance.

Yah I'll try to get a sound clip might take awhile because I'm always working but I'll shoot for end of week! As for the nehsayers of vta I can recirc anytime I want, and It doesn't matter because my dad's raceshop is dyno tuning my car and going to come up with maps for Air Fuel ratios so I wont have to worry about running rich for .001 secs between shifts. JDM Sam let me know as soon as the CAI come out cuz I'll buy one, thanx

any updates to this?
I would love to get a HKS SQV for my car, but I have a few questions:
If I run it in recirc., will the sound or performance be any different?
If I run it in VTA will the added richness matter (the first few users don't seem to mind)
Since it is adjustable, can I run it like 75%recirc and 25%VTA for sound?
Just been playing NFS:Carbon on my 360, and while using the Mazdaspeed3 in the game realized I would love my car to sound like that on upsifts and when coming off the gas...

Oh and BTW...the movie Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift rocks the house when it comes to the grrls and the cars and stunts...
if you haven't watched it, check it out...many BOV moments...

If you order the recirc kit from ************* you can run recirc or VTA. Personally I have had no problems and it sounds great... turns heads!

Yeah, but what I was asking is...I know there is a sound difference when VTA is used, but is there any chirp or anything when running Recirc? And can you run it like 75% 25%?

with recirc you can faintly hear. There is a guy on this forum that runs recirc and had an intake. So I don't know if the intake drowned the noise or not. Call Sam at crossover he can answer your questions

hope that helps
