I was wondering if anyone can answer my question. I looking into upgrading my exhaust on my Speed 6. I bought it back in mid August this year. I have the extended warranty on it as well.
I am looking at the Cat Back kit offered from Magnaflow. Does anyone know if this will effect the warranty ? Let me know.
Any help will be appreciated...

I JUST INSTALLED THE MAGNAFLOW CATBACK EXHAUST, AND I LOVE IT. VERY LOW KEY. NOT EXCESSIVE NOISE, BUT A NICE DEEPER TONE. IT IS THE SOUND THE FACTORY EXHAUST SHOULD HAVE CAME WITH. EITHER WAY, THE FITMENT IS GREAT, AND IT LOOKS GREAT.

in terms of what?

obviously depending on your local exhaust/emissions laws it could cause problems. dealer to dealer, they may be finicky on warranty work for the car if something major goes wrong.

+1 And it is against the law in all fifty states to have a late model car without a cat.

But you can get away with it if say your individual county doesn't do emmisions tests.

Has anyone tried the new sport exhaust that Mazda factory is selling, it is only axle back and looks nice, doubt that it gives any more perf, but I am looking for better sound, kinda like the magna flow.....any opinions on which may be better as both are about the same price...

Nice setup, but can you please reserve the CAPS LOCK for special occasions?

Always loved the looks of the magnaflow. Just not sure I could buy it since even the manufacture says your lucky to pick up power. Any chances of getting a sound clip of it?

yeah i could mustard up a sound clip. i'll do it tomorrow. remember, i still have the stock downpipe. until atp releases the cel module to correct a missing cat, i will keep the stock dp but i'd image with the atp dp, the sound would be much sicker.

no issues with the bumper melting, in all actuality, the tips only get warm. i could drive the car all day, shut it off, and touch the tips with my hands and not make a peep.

The one the factory offers does NOT fit the speed 6. I know what it says and all that but after ordering it and then returning it to my local mazdaspeed dealer. They could all only scratch their heads. It Does not line up with bolt pattern nor would it fit through the tips in back bumper,

Well I made my decision about 2 months ago and had Magna Flow Exhaust installed. I was amazed at how it sounded, etc. I can tell a difference in the car as well.
Also about 1 month ago now I went to my local Mazda Dealership and purchased the Cold Air Intake System. I installed it myself (took about hour or little longer).
With both of these now I can really tell big difference in speed, etc.
My next upgrade will be with wheels. I am starting to look around get some ideas. I have been looking at owners pics and have seen a few nice wheels.
