Ok the other day i was driving the speed and i hit 4K rpm and the car start to sputter*, backfire, wanting to die out, and im like wtf! so i go lower on the rpms and i try it again hopping it was a one time thing but no dice.So Me and my bro changed the spark plugs thinking that theve fouled out wich they have, but no work :( , then we ran some injector cleaner but no work :( , and the guys at the auto part store say its the O2 sensor. Has anyone ever had this problem? if soo please gimmie some info on what the hell is going on with my car! k THNX

Sounds like a boost leak or you are hitting fuel cut.

wastegate actuator messin up would cause this. Do you have a boost gauge, did the car feel like it was pullin harder until it bogged out??

A problem with the O2 sensor would throw a CEL, well atleast it did for mine.

not really . my boost gauge reads 5psi when i have is set fo 7psi. and when i hit fuel cut (if thats what it is) it boggs and it picks back up and boggs again.

Well if you're losing boost than it sounds like a leak somewhere. Check all the hoses.

i think its the maf dude, see if its still attached all the way, if you have a friend with a protege, swap him and see if your car runs with it.

i found the problem. it was a loose hot pipe. the clamp that connects the pipe to the turbo was not tight. now theres a new problem..... when i am in boost i here a loud whistle sound. i think its my SSQV that is leaking but im not sure. it holds boost but not where it supposed to. i have my MBC set to 8psi and it holds at 6psi. any help?

it might possibly be your wastegate...
