Yesterday I drove My MSP to work and back with no problems, bout 18 miles round trip. After letting the car sit for bout 3 hours, I noticed a "fluid trail" and I noticed a drip coming from the engine. It lookedtlike and smelt like trans fluid. Is there a reservoir that could have cracked during freezing temps, or does this mean the worst? Please tell me there is a better diagnosis.

If there is anybody in Ga who could possibly help please let me know. The car has only 21,700 miles on it and the motor swap has less the 500 miles.

Probably one of the axle seals ripped.

once I get under the car are there any steps to see what needs to be done(ie remove anything) If it is the trans, are there any aftermarket components to stregthen the tranny? It already has a stage 3 clutch.

Maybe you'll have the luck I had and it's just this random little bolt near the drain bolt that vibrated out.

It was a slow drip for me too.. because it had already dumped all the gear oil onto the highway :P

See above link for pic.. right dead center is the bolt that fell out of mine. I still haven't looked up stuff to see if maybe it was holding together something inside the tranny that is now just loose :P
