626 Oil Filter [Archive]

So, i've seen people saying that you can use an oil filter from a 626 on the pro without any modifications, and it works great and is longer so it provides more filtering. I haven't been able to find which engine/which years from the 626 will work, and i don't wanna buy the wrong thing. Can anyone who uses the 626 filters chime in??

Well up here in Canada the part# is G6Y0-14-302A-CA. I just asked for the 626 filter and the guy told me that's the only one they carry for Protege's anyway.

just get the 626 v6 filter same thing mobil part number is MO4610

I have also read that the oil filter for the WRX (I believe) will also fit and it will hold alomst an extra qt. of oil. If you search I'm sure you can find it.
