View Full Version : help with changing rear brake pads

I am changeing my rear brake pads and i cant get the thing that applies pressure to the pads to push back in. is it supposed to be that hard to do? have they locked up meaning i need new capilars or what? any help is appreciated, thanks.

you don't push them in, you twist them in

Yeah there is an allen like bolt that you turn and it retracts the piston....

yup on the back of the caliper.

edit: I think thier is a little black boot covering it also.

Hey, Edwin... It's an ES..

Bolt Covers Allen In Rear.

If you are having this level of dificulty with the job, I recomend getting the dealer to do it or your park brake will fail unless you adjust it properly.

MSP brakes. thnaks for sarcasm though, lol. anyways, yes we are dumb...it rotates. thanks for the help guys. i've done soe much work to this car and that stumped me..lame.
