How to enter numbered streets in NAV ?

I had to go to 4th Street this weekend to take my son to basketball ... no need to look at a map I thought ... I now have my NAV system in our CX-7 ... yet when I went to enter address, I noticed there doesn't appear to be anyway to enter a number for the street name. I tried spelling Fourth and nothing came up in the database. But there it was on the map. I went back to the the input screen and trying all the apparent options I couldn't figure it out. Any help ? Surely you must be able to do this.

I was having similiar problems and I havent been able to get around them. One day, I'll go down to my dealer and tell them to figure it out.

I take delivery of my car on the 5th- do you have to buy disks for the nav system ?

Going on memory...

when you go to enter the street address, down at the bottom hit "symbol" at the bottom of the screen -- if numbered streets are available in the city you're searching, the number keypad should be available to select from.

Also, SOMETIMES it might be 5th Avenue -- but sometimes it's FIFTH Avenue. So if the numbers are greyed out, try spelling it out.
