i was just wondering if this was common

i got a unichip and threw it in at a dyno shop, it says you should be boosting at aroun 13 psi but my unichip will only let me boost at 8 and drop to 7?? they couldnt really figure it out so we orderd a brand new one in and it did the same thing? does it have to be updated with newer soft ware, or maby could it be that my ecu is reflashed?

Its probably a faulty boost controller that you got w/ the unichip.

That's odd though. It would be pretty rare to come up with two faulty boost controlers, maybe they wired in the boost solenoid wrong.

And you had it set on the higher boost setting right?
