Since the 5 is available in other markets with AWD ( Asian Markets Only I beleive) I wonder how hard it would be to convert the 5 to AWd. I imaging you'd need a pile of parts but Would it be possible? I've seen threads on the Protege 5 (older gen) being converted over

if it's anything like the AWD for the P5 it'll involve buying lots of expensive parts from people who don't speak english, changing out the floorpan, doing lots of fabrication, and ultimately ending up giving up on the project and buying an Evo.

No one ever successfully converted a P5.

GOOD god the cost of doing that, I bet you'd come out cheeper if you just had one imported.

You're more than likely right, I guess it was more of a what if question than the practicallity of it

I'd be in a 2.5i Wagon now if it wasn't for the stingy interior/cargo room... I love my 5, though :D

Yeah, it will probably cost you an arm and a leg to convert it.
