after i installed the street rings on my cluster i noticed the bulbs behind the cluster had orange covers on them. by changing the color of the bulbs to blue, will my tach, speedo, fuel and water temperature gauges light up blue.
also has anyone with an 03 MSP put on the 03.5 lip. i need a stock wind splitter.
thanks in advance for any help provided
there is also an orange film on the inside of the guage faces, so blue will not work, unless you like purple, that is. your best bet is indiglo guages. i just installed a set, and they are an easy, cheap mod, and look awesome.

Would removing the bulb condoms make the cluster brighter? I've always thought the lights were pretty weak.

is the orange film specific to MSP's, or is it on all the red-illuminating clusters? i cant remember the difference between say, the MSP and Protege5 clusters.
Excuse the Noob.

Yea removing them make them brighter but they turn orange and you get a halo ring around the needle bases.

there is a write up on doing a led wire string in the back to even light it and it looked like a good idea (still no color changes)

all of the red backlit clusters have the orange film and all of the greeen backlit clusters have green film. blue works ok on the green clusters, but it ends up being more of a teal, which i didn't like. and i dont believe the film can be removed, either.
