Your stock tokico HP's (blues) are not adjustable.

If you upgraded to the illuminas(whites) you simply remove the rear deck, seatbeats, and adjust it with a flat head.

I would not remove the seatbelt recoil systems all the way. If they pull the belt in it will be hell to get it out again. When I had the Illuminas I would adjust them by removing the rear deck, LOOSEN the seat belt recoil bolts just enough so that you can get the screw driver on the strut. For reference, I had my struts set to 2 in front and 4 in the rear.

1. first, did you upgrade your struts? If so, continue

2. remove the 5 tabs on the rear deck
3. pul the rear deck STRAIGHT towards the front (otherwise youll scratch your c-pilars
4. stretch the seat belts as far out as you can
5. duct tape them so the dont reel back up.
6. remove the 17mm (iirc) bolt on top on each seat belt
7. adjust stuts IF you ugraded to illuminas
8. install in reverse order

i adjusted my struts. . . . i do have another question. I have the tokico illuminas. . . all of which i have set on 5. i also have the tien s tech springs. when its just me in the car or me and one other person it rides fine. if i have weight in the back like a person in the back seat or something the wheels hit over bumps and when i take turns fast. what can i do to correct this?

What is the offset on the wheels? Actually if it only happens when there's weight in the back it's almost assuredly an issue of not a high enough offset. If that's the case, you can roll your fenders to reduce any fender-rubbing you may be experiencing.

*Random seat belt note* Forget about the duct tape trick guys ... all you need to do to pull the belt back out is to hold the belt mechanism parallel to the ground and pull gently.

Also, for the issue you are having now ... a good place to double check is the center nut on the strut. Make sure it is tightened all the way down. If the center rod is moving up at all during compression, it's not. Fender rolling sounds like a good option as well ...

put some thick washers under the nuts on the top of the strut.

I had to do this when I had illumina's to prevent them from clunking when I went over speed bumps.
The problem is that there isn't enough threading on the bolts.

I forgot about this - I had the same issue. You can reuse the OEM center nuts in place of the ones that come with the struts and you will not need washers (crazy, I know. The OEM nuts have more material below the threaded portion). The front struts do not have this issue

i have all the bolts tightened. . . just needed some vice grips to hold the strut still. is it normal tho for the car to still bottome out over bumps sometimes. . in the front also? or when i have people in the back seat? i've tried the struts on all the different settings and theres minimal difference. i have the tien s-techs on if that makes any difference
