The lower the drop, the worse the ride... unless you go with bags. People might call me cheap or whatever... I cut my stocks and mine rides as well as any after market spring and sits better than most also. I sit a bit lower than the Eiback Sportline drop. Ride is a little stiff but I like it that way. Great road response...
Here are a couple pix..
...and yes these are 18" wheelz with 40 series rubber.

hey man i dont suggest you cut them at all... im not saying hes cheap but lowering springs are engineered to coil up the whole spring when they need to and if you cut some off they are out. they are all designed to use the length thats why lower springs are more tightly wound. i have the eibach sportlines and i like them. i think i am low enough with my kit. i can fit a couple toes haha. and just so you know the sportlines are a 1.8" drop all around and i think the goldlines are somewhere around there too becuase i looked at buying them when i got mine.

Yup you are correct on the cutting info and the coilup etc... and yes I guess I am a cheap bastard... hehe. Hell man I come from a truckin' low-rider background so it's in my blood... lol.
