I was at my local dealer picking my cx7 out of service and I saw this in the showroom. Looked pretty darn classy. Not the greatest pics cuz they are from my t-mobile mda but you get the idea. I think I am inspired to do some chopping. Stay tuned.

Nice rims, but too big for my taste... Needs a suttle drop also.

I thought it looked pretty good as well. Also, for the rim choice, that is a very popular style rim here in Atlanta. It wouldnt be my first choice but I do think it looks good. It does need a drop though.

Sorry, don't like it...black would be ok but not in that rim style.

I liked the chrome rims from the other thread more, but neither are my style.

I HATE THOSE RIMS. I don't know why people love that style of wheel. I think it's just hideous. Thats just my opinion though. But not nice looking at all.

I don't like the rims at all, the CX-7 is way to sleak for such chunky, butch rims. Maybe a expedition could pull them off but they just make the CX-7 look like an oversized lifted gangsta wagon wannabe.

My sentiments exactly. Gangsta wagon FTL. Those rims look like they belong on a Maybach or some ultra-Luxo barge or something. But not something with the demeanor of the CX-7. I'd take 19" 5 or 6 thick spoke rims of some sort in gunmetal if I were going for aftermarket CX-7 wheels. Although the stock wheels don't look too shabby at all.

I agree that the CX7 would look better with slightly sportier rims. Id like to see the CX9 rims on a 7.

sweet man, I live in Roswell, work in Norcross. there are a couple members that live over on this side as well. Bunches of us work over in this area and get together for lunch occasionally if your around the area during the day. Ted's Montana Grill is where we usually go. I'll qiut jacking this thread and tell you to visit the Ga community section of the forum. We get together pretty regularly, including bowling every Thursday and autocrossing when there are events.

Wouldn't big rims like those totally wear down on the CX-7? Its already 4,000 lbs in weight. Powered by a turbo 4. More rotating mass, more stress on the car, brakes, and engine. Not to mention i'd imagine less mpg. Am I wrong for thinking this?

some people don't care about the decrease in performance. they just want to be bigger and better (in their minds) than their neighbors.

See I think thats silly. Then people can't complain about bad gas mpg and changing their brakes out sooner than normal.
I'd rather go with a tasteful set of 18's, or lightweight 20's if thats even possible (aka racing brands like Centerline, SSR, Volk). You can be tasteful without having 80lbs of chrome at each corner of your car.
I used to laugh seeing people put 24's on their SUV's, then their brake rotor was almost as small as the hub of the wheel lol.
Fit these on a CX-7 on tirerack.com
