Sorry to hear about the mishap. Is it just the trunk that was screwed up? If so I say find a protege trunk part at a junkyard and then just have it painted to match if you can't find the right color.

Sorry to hear the news that really sucks. People who vanadalize cars for whatever reason should be shot or hung. If you can...Find a new trunk like above, fill all holes, and run the clean look or find a nice flushmount spoiler. Flushmounts are quite possible the hottest look when combined with clean kit/skirts, rims and whatever else one chooses...rid the rice wing!!!

The guy is selling a great condition trunk with spoiler (2003.5 MSP edition)

Its titanium grey, but buying this hood, and getting it painted will be a hell of alot cheeper then buying a new one from Mazda out of pocket, or paying your deductable.

well ken once i get the money i WILL be buying from you..and when i do my rebuild for engine i got all my oarts picked out from your site lol..but just a quick question does the cf trunk have a gel coating or a clearcoat coating..i hope you know what i mean..and how much for shipping to 55122 mn and does this site get a discount..i dont think so but asking didnt kill the cat curiosity did..wow i really need sleep

its a gel coat IIRC, have to double check. for a bulk purchase we can work out a discount.

about 110 to 120, and i checked my logs on the XC stuff - its got a PPG certified finish on the outer layer, so it must be a clear coat

First I want to say that sucks and I feel for you. But with the comment of TO MANY SUSPECTS, it sounds like you might want to be nicer to people or get a garage. And I wouldn't get a C/F trunk until you find the person to do this first. I would kill if someone busted my C/F truck or hood.

That's why I have a garage!

hey man sorry to hear all that crap...

i have the XC hood and trunk and i love them. i get lots of compliments on the fitment it is amazing after you adjust it (which takes awhile). and it is a clearcoat... doesnt yellow or fog or anything. great products that are highly recommended. i know Joe (CrazyCaker)(works for XC) personally and he would never sell a product with defects. great guy with great products.

do you think thats a good idea since they might come back after you install the CF trunk? If i were you I would lower my ins ded so that next time you wouldnt have to pay as much out of pocket specially if you are going cf. Just my .02 i guess
