Any autocrossers out there?

I'm considering a MS3 to replace my MSP, but I'm concerned about tires. Looks like I can get V700's in 225/40/18, but nothing in 215/45/18 or 215/40/18. Any idea if 225/40/18's will fit??? I have 225/45/17 V700's on my MSP now, and they rub the fenders in the back. It's a small enough rub that it's not a big deal, but the MS3 doesn't seem to have a lot of spare room under there.

i've been trying to get someone to take some measurements for a week now, but no one seems to be willing to do it.

the front fenders are supposedly flared an extra inch over the stock 3, so who knows how much room is there.

Which tires are you running in this size? Are they on the stock rims?

Yes, it is in D-Stock.

Not after he puts on the 225's.

D-Stock requires same width tire, same size wheel, and within (i believe) a 1/4 inch of offset from stock.

I have put 245/45 R17 in the front and it didnt rub at all. i tested them out and they where good i could take coners and everything and no rubing .i had evo stocks on =D. but in the back i had 235/45 r17 and it rubed on the fender, but that can be fixed all u would have 2 do is bend the inside a lil up and thats it cuz it only hits the vary outside of the tire =\. but i think with difrent rims it would be better the evo rims flare 2 much Looks ok but would look better if they didnt pop out as much =) (i wish i had taken a pic of the evo with my stocks on there LMFAO so funny =P)

FWIW, running 225/45/18s will keep your speedo more accurate than 225/40/18s. It's not a huge difference, but the 45 series is slightly closer to stock than the 40.

Not after he puts on the 225's.

D-Stock requires same width tire, same size wheel, and within (i believe) a 1/4 inch of offset from stock.

Didn't see this before... you're right about the wheel size has too be same as stock with a +/- 1/4" offset allowance, but you can run any size tire that you want (fender modifications not allowed).

You can run 245/40/18's. They have more clearance than you think
