How many MS3s??

I was just curious if anyone knew how many MS3s were being sold in the US? I dunno if this has been addressed already...Sorry if it has. The dealer I am buying mine from said 5000, which seems really low to me, but then again...What do I know...

Everyone needs to remember that Canada is included as 'North America'. I don't know if Canada is getting 250 or 500 total but that leaves 4500 to 4750 for the US.

as of right now there is no garauntee for a 08 model either making this possibly one of the most exclusive speed vehicles out...even though the msp was 2500 a yr i think it went 2 yrs.

also right now total numbers are irrelevent as dealers are only alloted 4-6 a month depending on dealership size/turnover rate.

Depends how the car sells this year. I don't see why Mazda would only make this car for one year. If it sells as horribly as the MS6 than there probably won't be another model year run. I can't believe mazda is doing a 2007 model year run with the MS6 as many 2006's are still on dealer lots.

The MSP was supposed to be limited to one model year run (2003), but they did the 2003.5 as well. Plus Mazda makes these 2.3 tubros and throws 'em in many of their autos now, I think the MS3 will be out till the end of the 3's model run IMO. As far as I know mazda doesn't have any other scheduled model to get the mazdaspeed treatment. So once the 6 is done, the 3 will be the only one. Mazdaspeed miata to take on the sky/solstice turbo anyone?

wrong. a mazdaspeed rx8 has never been made. accessories for an rx8 with the mazdaspeed name have been made. but no MSRX8.

Sorry I didn't clarify...I meant the previous model run of the miata.

I'd be very surprised to see a speed version of the RX8 considering it was in the works a long time ago and never materialized. You can blame problems with the rotary engine in the 8. Cold start issues, oil consumption, along with a bunch of other problems associated with that motor. MAzda will most likely kill off that car and focus on a brand new RX-7.

That seems to be the rarer of colors. Most are black or silver.

In Toronto, I heard the dealers get about 3~5 total.. For some low-selling dealers, they are lucky if they get even one Speed3.

However, This Avante Mazda dealership in North of Toronto gets total of 3 WHITE speed3's and one of them is mine!!

They currently have a black one for demo.. too.

As far as the total number of speed3's they get, I am not sure...

- Edit: Another dealer I have visited had no other speed3's than one on display.. they said the car is very very hard to get.

was wondering about the 5000 limit myself. I can do a search and fine like 15 or so within 65 miles or so on dealer lots and 2 dealers I spoke to are expecting at least 1 more each.

Even down here in po-dunk Fredericksburg (as compared to say NY or LA or wherever) our dealer has 2 and is expecting a 3rd within the week. Just seems like 3 would be a large number for a smaller town. Unless maybe there are just huge areas of the country that don't have Mazda dealers so they just seem to get more than their share.

The dealership I got mine from... when I went in on Sunday, they had one Black Mica Sport in the showroom. They were reluctant to let me test drive it, until it was obvious that I was serious. I got back from the test drive and laid a deposit on the Cosmic Blue one that was on the truck on it's way. They got 3 total on that truck. Blue, Black and Silver. all 3 GTs. The Truck arrived on Wednesday. By the time I got into the dealership Wednesday afternoon, the other 3 were gone and there was 2 or 3 people drooling on my Blue one. Fortunately they didn't sell it out from under me. There was more than a few folks hoping I would back out.
