I have searched but I couldn't find a picture of the actual "rubber band" that came with the stock SMIC or actually inside the plastic piping.
I don't think the previous owner has put that rubber band back in when you swap the aftermarket SMIC back to stock. So I havent actually seen how it looks like and where it is supposed to sit.
Can anyone point me the light?
thanks

IMO it isnt that critical, all your looking to accomplish is to SEAL the pipe on there. I used some radiator tape(stretchy) and wrapped it around the stock pipe inside and outside and cranked down the worm clamp and it still popped off w/ the SMIC upgrade. Dunno if the stocker would pop off.
GL w/ the situation.

You can use a piece of BMX inner tube. Also buy some good t-bolt clamps, worm clamps aren't really that great. T-bolt clamps do not come loose so easily.

They are stetched over the end tanks of the stock SMIC, so that they create a seal between the pipes and the end tanks. I think that there may be one on the throttle body too, but I can't remember.
