i replaced my front brake pads and now the front left wheel area has this....rubbing/grinding noise when i drive, it sounds like only one thing is rubbing something else because when i go really slow i will hear it for a second then the wheel will turn and then hear it again, very quiet though, is this just temporary due to new pads or did i fuck something up? tanks!

Pull the pads out and make sure they bed in properly(full area). Also check the dust boot for tears. What pads did you put in?

just some cheap ones from advanced auto parts, they fit fine for the most part. you're going to have to be more specific on this "bed" that you are talking about. the one thing i didnt get to do is put those little metal plates back on because they didnt fit onto the new ones. but i took the old pads out, c-clamped the piston, put new ones in, put those two metal wire hooks back in, and stuck the allen bolt back in, just like i did the other times

it went away, i guess it was just "breaking" itself in or something, that or something broke and i just dont know about it yet lol. btw, i couldnt live with myself if i spent more than 50 dollars on brake pads
