Reason for selling:
First off, these items are less than two months old. I had the Harman Kardon Drive and Play setup in my car and plugged directly into my factory system with these two items. The sound was great! I am selling because I am getting a new head unit and I won't be needing this anymore (Plus I NEED MONEY!). I thought many other people who have stockies would like to have them. This will be great for adding an AUX input via CD-Changer port in the back without actually having to upgrade the actual head unit!

Price: $85 shipped

Will work on the following Mazda vehicles equipped with CD changer controller headunits:

Mazda3 (2004-2005)
Protege (2001-2003)
Protege 5 (2001-2003)
RX8 (2004-2005)
Tribute (2003-2005)
Miata (2003-2005)
MPV (2003-2005)
B-Series Truck (2003-2004)
*Note compatible with Mazda

What exactly will this do? I kinda got the general idea but I am not 100% sure.

The MAZ/PC-ALP adapter will plug directly into the back CD-Changer plug in the back of your Mazda's stock headunit. Then using that adapter, you can plug the ALP/M-RCA plug into it giving you an AUX-IN into your factory stereo. (You can actually buy different adapters that will work with the MAZ/PC-ALP). Hopefully I explained that better. If not, maybe this simple diagram will...

|Headunit|--------|MAZ/PC-ALP|-------|RCA Adapert|--------|Laptop,iPod, DVD player, etc.|

PM me if interested

I may be interested in this depending on a few things. First of all, how easy is it to install? I have never tried to take out my HU in my p5, but have done it in other cars. Also where do you run the cables. I would be using this to the ipod and would like to have it somewhere near the cupholders.

This wont affect my stock 6 cd changer at all will it? Any info you have would be great. Thanks.

I'm not sure if it works with the stock HU that has a CD-changer built into it already. I'll double check on that. Anyone else know? This adapter is made to plug into the back CD changer port of the headunit (Mine does not have the stock cd changer inside the HU. If you are able to take out your HU, and see if there's a blue port in the back, then this is where the adapter plugs in.

As for taking out the hu, it is really simple. You will need 4 din removal tools that you can get at walmart. They look like "U"s. Pull the sied plastic covers off the HU, and insert those four "U"s into the hole, pull them "away" <--- HU ---> to release the HU, and then pull the HU towards you to take it out. Then plug and play.

The wires is up to you, route it any way you want. I need to warn you though, if you are planning on hooking up your ipod, I suggest you get this:

Reason being, is I tried hooking up my iPod directly into this adapter via the RCA plug and it didn't sound all that good. This also has charging capabilities too! (I will still send you both though since I have no use for it). I used to use these adapters with harman kardon's Drive and Play, and it sounded AWESOME!! So I know if you get thes ipod adapter, it will sound just as good as my Drive and Play. I got rid of the drive and play because I upgraded my stereo system :)

Correct!

PM me if you need any additional help. If you are able to pull your hu out, take a look at hte back and let me know if theres a blue port.

DIRECT OFF THE SITE!

4. IMPORTANT Single CD or 6-CD Changer radios are not compromised or disabled by this interface.

Meaning it will work!

BTW: just to be clear, the port on the back is to add a external cd changer. The cd changer on the HU is different
