Hello all! I have a dilema...I recently wrecked my 2003 Mazda P5 (front end and all suspension). I was trying to get some aftermarket headlamps for her, so I found some on ebay( the black ones). Well my body shop installed them and I go to put in my new cqlights HID kit I just bought....UGHHH!!! The damn lamps are for the MSP or regular Protege. They will not return my calls and I cant find aftermarket lamps. SO... I am selling the brand new kit so that I can turn around and purchase the H4 kit. These are cqlights H7's new in box. They are 10,000K on the Kelvin? scale. If anyone is interested please hit me up, since I have no lights on my car!!!!!

H7 is what fits in the Protege5 stock housing. I believe the black headlights you purchased are for the MSP which are not H7.

From what I have found that would be correct. H4 is for the LX/MSP and the H7 is for the Protege5. He confused?

For example, here is a little snippet off an eBay add for some aftermarket bulbs:

You are Bidding on a Brand new in Protective Box Set of HID Super Xenon Crystal Blue Super White 8500K HID Bulbs for : (Never Used or Installed)
1995-2003 Mazda Protege (H4) (Will Not Fit PROTEGE 5)

why not just buy some h4 bulbs. . should plug right in unless you want bi-xenon. i know i just bought some of those aftermarket housings off of ebay (many people say the DEPO housing are pretty good quality if only they made a projector like they do for so many other cars) but i just bougth them to scavenge the lens of of it so i can have clear plastic again

I dont think so, I believe you have H4s? These are H7 bulbs. Unless you are crafty with rigging things up or if there is some kind of adapter????

just looked at the fitment guide, you would need 9003 bulbs.
