battery light

I've been noticing this battery light coming on when I hit just over 5000 rpm...
you really have to see it because it's there for like 1/4 of a second....
doesn't happen every time but I think i've seen it like 4-5 times just this week..
I'm wondering.... could be this a sign that the alternator is about to die?
that's the only thing I can figure out ... looking for clues!

i would take it to like autozone, have them test your battery and alternator. usually only takes them a couple minutes.

I think I will, it was a little colder tonight and my car usualy starts within a sec and now it cranked a couple time before starting up... it's gotta be the battery / alternator...
I just find it weird the light comes on only when im revving over 5000 .. and not every time......what's with this?
