Do you guys think i can just take the whole thing out, and just put in a K&N filter (Cone Style)? that would work?

yes, you can remove the airbox filter and just put a cone style filter to whatever hose the airbox was connected to, the only problem is finding a cone filter that's going to fit comfortably around the hose..

Wouldn't you be sucking in warmer air from the engine comparment if you did that, instead of the cold ducted air from the grill?
was thinking about that.... and i was thinking of making a heat shield around it...

yea but i dont really want to pay 240+ usd for a intake...and a cold intake wont give much of a increase.. i just want the sound really hahaha..
so i might just buy a k&N cone filter.. and make a heat shield... thats what i did for my Talon, and it worked fine...
