Has anyone seen a billet grille for the Cx-7 yet ? I think a chrome billet grille would look sweet over the honeycomb grille.

funny, that was the FIRST thing i thought when i looked at the CX's on the dealers lot. It seems to me that the whole black plastic-filled area on the front end could use some spiffing up, but i'm wondering if a billet grille might not be too much there? I'd love to see one, and would probably take a chance on one anyway....:)

god help the company/distributor that actually starts banging out add-ons and upgrades - we're gonna swamp them!!! heheheh

If they do one I hope the bars are vertical at an angle to mach the natural lines of the car and give it a more agressive look instead of the plain old horizontal grills.

I'm picturing a sweet chrome billet grille with both top & bottom parts... It's just a matter of time...

How about a grill like on the other Mazda's....louvre type...like on th Mazdaspeed6...body colored? I am wondering if the chrome would be too much....would have to see it I suppose.

I'd agree with the body colored grille. Don't want to get to "busy" on the front end.

That's a grill guard...looks too bulky and ugly I think.

Yeah, the CX-7 really isn't the kind of SUV you deck out in grill guards and running boards in my opinion.

I've been looking . . you're rightg about the grille guard being too bulky . . but the nerf bars are another matter. I need a closer look.

I would really love to see the color match grill just like the 3sports/6sports/Speed6 type grill. It will look Awesome on the CX7.

Especially on a Liquid Platinum Metallic color !!! Yeah baby !!! This color is the bomb on CX sevens !!!

damn, i thought there was 1 out when i saw this post! i searched everywhere on internet and found nothing. the front does need a new grill. they NEED to come out w/ 1. i would go with a chrome 1 for sure to match chrome mazda emblem, window trim and chrome 20's. i don't like the stock grill and the black inserts where fogs go...that's why i'm probably gonna order fogs tomorrow. i read somewhere on here too that they chromed the stock plastic grill...? i didn't know u can chrome plastic...

i just spoke to 2 different grill suppliers from cali. they each said they don't have grills for mazdas right now, 1 said they will start selling new mazda grills in feb-march. he didn't know if the CX would be in w/ those mazda. i told him if they come out w/ a mesh or billet grill for the CX, they would sell tons. 1 place made a note and sent email w/ my request to grill manufacurer. i told each i belong to this forum and there are tons of guys waiting. each said to keep an eye out after new year. we'll see. other 1 didn't know.

I agree that there is a ton of that black plastic in the nose. However, dont you think that would be just too much chrome in the nose if that whole grille got chromed out? Seems like a lot to swallow.

What if anything can be done about the two different nose clips for the CX-7's as seen in the recent SEMA show.

I think that one had a louvers/open vents to let heat escape.

Hi everyone. I'm in the market for an AWD GT w/ tech CX-7, but need to sell my Vibe GT first ;).

Mr. Grille (Norco, CA) custom-made a nice billet grille - in both black and silver - for the 2003-2004 Pontiac Vibe (pics below). Once I get into a CX-7, I'll contact him again for the same thing. I'm sure he'll jump at it.

Thanks for the great site!

Nice grille on your Vibe.....do you have a close up of it. The CX 7 is a nice transition for you and fun to customize.

You can visit http://www.mrgrille.com/ for closer shots of their billet aluminum. Currently, I have black billet grilles that have not chipped in over 1 1/2 years. Very high quality, high durability.
