So - I was away for the weekend... I was in Vermont but I live just north of Boston, MA. (3-4 hour trip, depending how you drive)

On the trip home, I "routinely" looked-down to the speedometer only to find that I was exceeding 100mph... maybe 102 or 103 tops... but it didn't FEEL that fast. I was floored. I had to keep slowing-down.

By the time I got back to MA and the average traffic speed was around 65-70mph... it felt like I was only doing 20mph after driving that fast for that long.

Pretty scary at how well cars handle now-a-days.

You sound like me... I had a conference up in PA and I took a CX-7 up there...

I had to constantly keep off of the accelerator. Its a GREAT passing car... just downshift it into 4th... over take and drop it back to sixth. Really nice Vehicle....

I can only echo the exact same sentiments...

On our recent roadtrip to South Carolina & back, I was continuously impressed, amazed, and delighted with the performance & capabilities of this vehicle. The pairing of this engine and tranny is far beyond wine and cheese!

I'm sure we had numerous folks who appeared in our rear-view mirrors wondering, "what the heck are they driving?"

We didn't get any speeding tickets, but a small town sheriff in Virginia, who looked like something out of the Dukes of Hazzard, got me for having a RADAR DETECTOR!!!! They are illegal to have there, & the SOB was using a radar detector-detector... we were going thru a small town at 25 mph early in the morning, and I didn't even realize I had it on. It cost me $96 and p!ssed me off just on principle.

Fortunately, the zoom-zoom factor more than made up for that little inconvenience!

I Hear you on that one.. I was pulled a grand total of 4 times by state troopers in one day for, get this: not having a front license plate. The troopers seemed perplexed at the idea that it was legal in Pennsylvania (where the car is registered and has plates for) to only need a rear license plate.. they even tried to give me a ticket for it..

Here in Southern California I still have yet to see the CX-7 anywhere, but driving from Orange County to West Los Angeles its a breeze to keep up with the BMW's, M.Benz, other sports cars. They try to out run me but at 100 plus I am still on their tail ~ or they are still behind me trying to pass!

lol wtf?

They can't ticket you for a non-moving violation that is legal in your home state (front plates, tint, etc)

He got it from his son that works at an Acura dealer. It's the turbo badge from the RDX.
