CATTLESS vs CATTED MIDPIPES

I tried to search for this topic but nothing came up.. Right now in my garage I have a Circutsport catless midpipe and corksport high flow cated midpipe. I'm debating if the gains are worth the hassle.

I aslo have the corksport s pipe that would mate perfectly to the circutsport midpipe.

Not sure what you mean by hassle? If you go catless, just get the HELP #42002 fouler and put your 02 in it to eliminate a cel.

Since you have them both, put them on and see if one feels more responsive than the other.

Otherwise like it was said...I've used the non fouler fix for over 2 years and works great....

What about the gains? all piping is going to be replaced but the stock axel back. so it would look like this

cs s pipe - circutsport catless j/mid pipe - cs reninator portion with resinator removed - stock axel back

or

cs s pipe - cs j pipe - cs cated mid pipe - cs reninator porttion with resinator removed - stock axel back

how much more of a gain am i going to see catless at 8psi-10psi?

aslo, how loud is that going to be? :P

im sure the gains would be minimal...as far as the sound Im not sure...

I have the stock s & j pipe, and the full catless CS exhaust & never removed the resonator & I <3 the sound of it...

I use the stock P5 midpipe for inspection with my 2.5" catback and have very minimal difference in sound with the catless midpipe in there. Mostly the sound levels are controlled by the muffler and will not be much louder.

The catless will be louder but my produce a little more power (not much) due to less restriction in the exhaust. If you go full turbo back catless I would recommend using 2 resignators to quiet it down. You don't want to attract any attention from unwanted ppl.

hmm....

If I was going to go catless then I would just swap the stock midpipe when emissions came around but if im only going to see minimal gains, I think im just going to put the catted midpipe in.

I understand that it just that I have 2 midpipes both 2.5" one is cated and the other is not. If the gains arent worth the hassel of swapping pipes wh need be, im just going to keep the cated pipe and sell the other (enguard)

My opinion, stock hardware (bolts/nuts) lick donkey balls, rusting, corroding and basically like to crap themselves. BUY good stainless hardware to go with you stainless (CATLESS) midpipe and just change them over come emissions time. The biggest pain in the ass changing the exhaust is the rusting hardware....Jus my 0.02 to keep in mind

I got a catless from protegegarage, and I enjoy it. It does stink every now and then if you have your windows down and stop. no biggie. I enjoy the sound and the whole grand total of 3.5968574635273895950606948372626 HP. LOL.
