Hey all,
I need to replace my front rotors on my 2003 MSP and I don't feel like getting gouged by the local shops around here. Has anyone here done this before? I've searched the site and found some nice walk throughs for brake pads but nothing on rotors. I just need a list of tools needed and a baisc walk through.
Thanks!

Disconnect negative battery terminal.(hmmm)
Loosen front lug nuts.
Jack up the car.
Take wheels off.
Take off calipers 2 Bolts (14mm I think?)
Rotors Should Slide off.
Good Luck...

what he said
don't let the caliper hang from the line as you may break it
but ya...if it is hard to get off, bang it with something, it might be rusted

you might want to go out and get some PB blaster and WD-40 before you start. A torch will help if the rotors or any bolt is being stubborn, A hammer will work if the rotor is on there pretty good.

Cool, that's what I figured but I wanted to make sure.
Thanks

if they are really hard to get off there is a small threaded hole that you put a machine bolt in and tighten with an allen key and it should pop off. while you are tightening you will need to hold the hub still so you will need a long bar to wedge between the studs. put your lug nuts back on so you won't damage the threads. Good night and good luck.
