I recently got my CX-7 serviced for a service bulletin about the driver and driver-side passenger panels being wrinkled. I had them replaced and I noticed that in the area near the door hinge on the front doors, parts of this foam-like, insulator material is sticking out from the door panel. I don't know if it was like that before the service so I wanted to ask other CX-7 owners to see if they have this black foam-like material partly sticking out as well. (I will add pictures when I get the chance if you don't understand the area that I'm talking about.)

Were your doors rubbing or whatever? I complained of that and the answer I got back from the service manager was that they are all like that so no fix!!!! I will have to go check my car. HMMMMM.....

I just bought my CX-7 three weeks ago...the front doors both open and close with a noise like plasitc scraping plastic...is this the noise you experienced?

Same here. Believe there was even some talk of a TSB to be released on this issue. Maybe just wishful thinking???

Well it just sounds like it's stiff or something...not sure mine sounds like plastic rubbing on plastic. I will see if my dealer has a bulletin out on it yet and then when i am in next get it looked at again.
