new brake pads?

here lately my ebrake light has been coming on at random....does this mean i need to replace my brake pads? also, those that HAVE replaced theirs at what mileage did you replace (b/c it was needed not to upgrade)

brake fluid doesn't just evaporate. adding brake fluid might get rid of the light, but not whats causing it.


edit, just saw this thread was from october of last year. i hope for your sake you fixed your brake problem by now
