Super-sleuths listen-up, because Lotus and Saville Row tailor Gieves & Hawkes have teamed-up to create what they believe is the perfect car for the modern-day secret agent.
The one-off Lotus Exige Espionage has been designed by a Lotus Design team headed by chief designed Russell Carr for ‘Truly British at Harrods’, and will be on display in the Knightsbridge store’s British Tailoring Room until October 15, before being sold with a £39.995 price tag.
Based on the standard 189bhp Exige, the Espionage features navy blue paintwork finished with central white pinstriping. Inside, the seats, doors and dash are trimmed with pinstriped wool cloth to match the Gieves & Hawkes ‘Spy Suit’, which will be displayed alongside the car. The seat backs also feature silk fronm the suit’s lining, while the leather footwell matts are finished with eyelets to mimic leather brogues
