Picked up a new Whitewater Pearl M5 this weekend for my wife. Got the touring package with navi and dealer installed dvd player with lcd screens flush mounted in headrests. My wife is loving it! Only part that sucks is she will not let me drive it...LOL

Damn i thought you bought a new BMW M5 from the thread title. Nice car anyhow. Take the car out secretly when the wife is sleeping.

people on this forum get far too overwrought about what people call their cars. I remember years ago when everyone got their panties in a bunch when Protege5 owners called their cars MP5s.
Who cares? EVERYONE knew what he meant, seeing as this is a Mazda forum, not a BMW forum. Get over yourselves and enjoy the cars.

I wish it were a BMW M5, but it's not.

well, I edited, changed the title, and unfortunately, it only changed the subject title and not the thread title.

WERD!
WHen they change the name of this site to BMWs247.com then i think it will be a legitimate argument.
Congrats on the new wheels!

Seriously, the "M5 is a BMW, not a Mazda5" thing is getting really worn out. Give it a rest people, it's way more iritating to hear people complain about it. (ughdance)
Anyways, congrats SaaBaaDoo! I can't wait to see pics... be sure to take a pic or two of the DVD player, too. I got the DVD in my 5 and pics/details about it are sketchy at best. I should have my M5 in about a week or two... it's a Whitewater Touring as well :)

Thanks for the congrats all! I have to get it cleaned up for pics though. White + Love Bugs = DIRTY!!!
I have to call the dealer about one of the LCD screens though. It seems that possibly on one of the test drives someone was picking at the corner of it. Maybe they thought it was that protective film they put on...nope, it's the top layer of the lcd...:( Oh well, should be fixable. Still works ok though, just being picky:)

Get some pics up of the headrest screens. I didn't know that was a dealer option. What was your cost for that?

I think the dealer had it done by another shop. I'm thinking it was around 1.5-2k for it.

Wow has anyone noticed that this car looks great in every color? I saw a green one the other day and was even impressed with that.

Your 5 is so nice! I LOVE that DVD install, done very clean. I'm envious of you, that I settled for Mazda's OEM system now. The rest of the car looks great too, I seriously am going nuts waiting for mine.

Yeah, the lcd install is very clean. No kids yet, but eventually, so these will come in handy:) There's 2 sets of wireless headphones so if I want to listen to something other than what's playing over the main system, I can throw it in the dvd player.
I still think my favorite thing about her new car is the color! I'm half tempted to rip everything out of the MSP and spray it with the whitewater pearl mica:D

Congrats...I love the white and it was one of my choices in vehicles after I sold my RX 8. Well, not that anyone cares but I decided on the Mazda CX 7. I got her Saturday and love it. Enjoy your 5 and I will enjoy my 7.....both great vehicles! P.S. Love the DVD install....looks sweet! Kids will love it someday!!
