i'm seeing subtle hints of jaguar in the front end. Niiiiice, verrry niiice.(shocked) I never thought i'd buy a ford ever again, but this is making me reconsider...

Nice wagon! Interior is awesome. Side profile and rear profile are slick. Front end is nice except for those to huge chromey gaping holes. Not good looking at all.

the interior looks too busy but the back half of the car looks like ford europe borrowed a lot of the styling cues from the CX-7 and mazda6

Now we just need Ford to bring that to N.A. and keep those brakes in an actual production model.

ford usa won't do it because they're stupid... they think americans don't want to pay that much for a car but rather spend the money on a truck/SUV
plus the "mondeo" that was sold here (the contour) sucked enough that people don't want anything to do with it

I love the Carputer it has........

Yes, the Contour was indeed a reliability/quality nightmare, but I believe Ford may have redemption if they launch the Mondeo in the US. Quality of standards has changed since then. At least I would sure hope so.

why FORD!?! I want the 6 wagon as sexy as this one!
seriously, I saw somewhere Ford sold the protege in asia with a Ford logo on it.
Swap that blue oval logo with a flying M, and it's going to sell like hot cakes!
I can see alot of rx-8 & mazda6 lines in that mondeo
* sorry, hate the blue oval logo (lol2)

i'd rock it with a less dramatic interior contrast, and I think even though all the history is there, it's time for Ford to lose the blue oval logo....it craps up the steering wheel. they need a new modern design logo or different font or something.

If Ford sold the Mondeo here it should be an entry level sport sedan and wagon badged as Lincolns to compete with the Acura TSX, Saab 9-3, Volvo S40/V50/C70, Subaru Legacy GT, and the next gen Cadillac BLS.

A Subaru from the front; a Mazda from the side; God knows from the rear. Nice interior that I wish I had on the CX

Agreed. Totally slick otherwise though, I'd rock it. :)

Ford has to wake up and notice . If they were to start selling cars like this in NA then I think that ford's bottom line would improve

Here is my take:
Bad points:
-Rear wiper...................looks old and ugly. Ford needs to learn a thing or two from Mazda (especially the 6).
-Rear brake lights..........what were they thinking? Ugly - just ugly.
-Shark fin antenna.........doesn't look good on this car. For some reason, in my opinon, BMW is the only car manufacturer to pull it off. Not a big fan.
-The shift boot..............looks like ass. It's too loose and scrunched around the knob.
(srshiftboots.com FTW!)
Good points:
-Overall styling is beautiful. I love the color scheme pictured.
-Other than the bad points mentioned about the rear....I love the back end of this car. It exudes style.
-For some reason I dig the interior of this car. I love the richness of the brown leather w/ the dark grays. It's a perfect blend of old and new.
Allright....I'm done writing a coffee ad.
Dave.

That orange is horrible. You could fit much junk in that trunk though, great space...
