they should fit on the msp with the 215, but i'd bet you'd be pretty close to rubbing since the stock offset is +55.

Yea they might rub a little with the 215's and the 225 will be pushing it.

I have a set of 16x7 +45 wheels with 225/45-16 hankook ventus RS2's. the 45 offset pushes the wheel out a little but I don't think an extra 5 mm would be that bad. if you add a little neg camber you might be alright. here is some pics of mine.

See if that was my P5 above my rear would rub. Atleast the sedans have a little more room.

WAit, I told you wrong. I double checked and the offset on my wheels are +43, not +45. so the difference in mine and the +40 ones you want is 3mm. I don't think 3mm is going to be a problem. I say go for it.
It shouldn't be much of a problem at stock height, but with my car running about 2 inches lower and +45 rear wheels I had to roll the fender lip for 225/45/162 to fit without rubbing.
