<--- not "up" on all the different mods...
What is the advantage of switching to a shark-fin...? Or is it purely a cosmetic and aesthetic thing...?
Thanks...

Well... in their defense, I'm sure they're just reusing a lot of already-written copy from the same product for use on other vehicles. I can give them leeway there...
But honestly... I don't know... (and I'm too-lazy to go back & read the page)... but is there a performance benefit to that form factor...? Is the reception better...? Or is it just a pseudo aero-dynamic aftermarket part that just offers you a choice of something different...? I'm not one for arbitrarilly swapping-out parts unless there's a distinct advantage in doing so.
Hey - some may think it looks cool(er) and really want it! More power to ya. My "guess" is that the stock antenna is fairly aerodynamic itself.

I wrote them a message, regarding the antenna for the CX-7...and they never got back to me, that was 3 weeks ago.

From what I've heard, the shark fin antennas give better reception than the stubby antenna, and I think they look way better too!

Can anyone tell me how to take off the stub antenna & install the Shark Fin?

I THINK, you unscrew the stubby, then scew in the shark...but I know that the shark is held down by 3m tape

The shark fin is merely cosmetic. No further benefits; reception, sound quality, etc. It is just for the look.
