what are some good gauges...cause im looking into a 2 pod din under my stereo for my msp, but dont know what to choose from, anybody got pictures of what they have or what gauges are good to use for looks and durability. My thought would be a boost gauge and something else. I dont know much about gauges, so any input would help

I also use the autometer phantom gauges and haven't had any issues with them. As for what to use, a boost gauge is pretty much a necessity. I've also got an a/f gauge. It's pretty much worthless because of the narrowband o2 sensor. I thought about swapping it out for a fuel pressure gauge, but the light show keeps me entertained at red lights.

where can I get autometer phantom gauges?
GoProtege

They're pretty common. You can probably find them at a local autozone or similar store. You can also look on jegs (http://www.mazdas247.com/forum/www.jegs.com) I think I got my gauge pod from jegs and my a/f gauge from a local speed shop.

One thing about the boost gauge. You might want to spend a little more for one that has a light. Mine doesn't and is impossible to see at night.

You should check out the autometer nexus gauges.... they are like the bentley of gauges.... PLUS they have a nice warning system of out of range readings that you set to trigger a warning.
check out autometer's full line here http://www.autometer.com

my motor is blown and my battery is dead now so i can't get any new night pics but i will grab some better guage shots!! btw i have a new steering wheel pod to hold 1 more guage! oil pressure will replace the boost guage on the a pillar and the boost will go to the steering wheel!

I like the blue, looks good. Moving the boost gauge to the steering wheel sounds like a good idea. I might do that.

Am I the only one that posted so far that decided to go with black-faced gauges, and not white?

we use Defi in all of the cars we build. Some of the cars we use the Defi with the Dlink system but they just released a new line that is priced great and looks good to that we are going to start using in everything.

go DEFI, best gauges you can buy!

I had those gauges -- C2 in both boost and air/fuel -- and hated them with a passion. They glow VERY brightly, so be prepared to be half-blinded at night. When Kooldino and I were driving back from .. somewhere back in the day .. he could still see them THROUGH my 15% tint from about a quarter mile back.
IMHO, at least. I wanted to burn those gauges in the backyard when I switched them out for my current set.

ive got the autometer ultra lite boost gauge w/that red lil bulb cover and it matches the factory speedo/tach very nicely. along side that i have the aem wideband which is an awesome gauge, cept i think my sensor went bad. it displays flat line lean whenever i floor it and i know im still running rich as crap. btw theyre both mounted under my radio angled at me. sry no pics for now.

Sorry, been away from computer for a while. There wern't any lights that came with my gauge. No bulbs, no wires. However, there is a place for a light when looking at the back of the gauge. Thanks for the web site, I was about to ask where I could get some leds.

Where do you get the gauge mount where it is above the radio such as the ones posted in CitizenPro and Shift_Lost's? I am looking to get one of those but am unable to find where to get them.

I love the set-up, they work great and both look good doing it :D I like that there both digital and very accurate.....u can take readings very easily. Another plus is that the Boost gauge/controller reads vaccum.
