Hey I'm trying to install an air fuel ratio gauge in my 3 and I'm wondering which wire I need to splice off of for the sender wire on my gauge. I looked tonight and the wires I saw were white with blue stripe, blue with red stripe, black with red stripe, and gray with blue stripe. Any help with this would be much appreciated. Thanks!
EDIT: To clarify these are the wires between the ecu and the plug for the o2 sensor.

(ughdance) well in the msp you can use the O2 sensor wire.
find out where that goes in the ECU and tap into it in the car.
honestly. i have the gauge. and i think its :bs: the only time i get any real reaction from driving is when i floor it and it goes to the last green bar. other then that... 50 doller light show

um its not a problem with the gauge its a problem finding which wire to splice off of since there are 4 on the o2 sensor. Also I think calling me a fucking moron is uncalled for, I did nothing to you.

Perhaps this might be useful.

the diagram does help alot although i will admit I can only partially read it. Just for some clarification would w/r stand for white/red? and is the wire that is shielded the wire I would attach my sender to? thanks.

I'm not 100% sure, but I would say yes, the w/r wire is the one I would try first.

just use a digital multimeter and test the wires. If you test the resistance (ohms) one of the wires should have the reading jumping around like crazy as your car is running. BUT i think i remember having to use a multimeter that was below like 50mV or sumthin like that so that you dont fry the o2 sensor. If i get a chance ill look and see what color wire it was.

i tested voltage and found the wire that wasn't 12v.
