i have nothing to contribute as far as audio, but there are a few people with quite a knowledge on Audio stuff. I would suggest you post some more info about brands and ratings on the components they plan to install and you should also post this on the Audio section of the forums. right here:

3k can be a bit pricey depending on the quality of equipment your getting installed. Though I don't know what the reputation of your shop is or the quality of work they do. As with most things I'd shop around and see what other local shops will charge. What brands do they sponser by the way. And how much power are you lokking for?

I had my trunk done at a different place. Products: 2 MTX 12" 5500, powered by a MTX THUNDER 5501 amp. It puts about 330 watts to each subwoofer. They removed my spare tire and built that whole area into a box for my 12s and built a sky-baby blue amp rack right up against the rear seats, right now I only have one amp there and there is an empty spot for my second amp when I do my door speakers. All for like 1100.00 I am very happy with the install overall, I am pretty sure I got a descent deal for everything installed given they had to build the box from scratch and all. What do you think?
