one remote two cars...

i ahve a mazdaspeed protege and a protege lx..
both have factory alarms..
i know the mazdaspeed's alarm is different...but couldn't there be a way of me opening both cars with the same remote??

like if i use my wife's remote i can lock and unlock both cars at the same time and if i use mine do the the same thing

I dont know Im sure there IS a way but I wouldnt do it.

Perfect example : Your wife goes to work.... she unlocks her car, gets in and drives away.... your doors are unlocked now... awesome.

Well...atleast for 30 seconds anyway... Mine locks back up after that time if the doors arent opened...

I seriously doubt you can, considering each car is uniquely programmed. Otherwise you could unlock other people's Proteges with your keys.

yes you can do this i have my msp and my wifes p5 on the same remote, you can just take one that is programmed for one car and program to the other one and it will work with both
