2k rpm rev

Ok i noticed one thing in the morning before going to work, and when i start the car the car's rpm shoots up to 2k rpm and stays there for a couple mins and starts to settle down to 1k rpm is that suppose to be normal?

its prolly to heat up the cats quicker

yeah is normal !! it suppose to heat the engine and the turbo as well!!!
