Well I just bought a microtech ltx8s and a handcontrller for $900 off of ebay. Unfortunatly its is off of a rx7 so its not a direct swap. I found this out after i bought it. So now i will have to send the microtech back to australia to get it re-configured($350). Once that is done I also have to get the bosch coils cause the ltx8s has the igniter box built into the unit. The good thing is that i dont need a laptop to tune the ems, cause i can use the hand controller, and i can store up to 4 maps on it. I know it would of been chaper to get the lt10s then this, but i found out too late. Im not in a hurry, so once i get everything back and install some 440's along with the ems the coils the car should be badass. The only thing then holding me back would be the block.

Just to keep you guys posted. Just bought some wrx 440's today off of ebay for like $100. They are from a 02 wrx. I guess I will keep you guys posted in this thread on everything about my microtech installs. I will be looking for some intersting ways to mount the bosch coils. All in all I will try to post my whole install and tuning in this thread. Thanks for reading

Yes, the Microtech is a very good piece of equipment. Too bad you found out too late that it was for an RX-7. nsnmotorsports.com has the newer models in stock, configured for the protege, and with maps for less than the $1250 you are going to pay (plus shipping, coils, and anything else). In the end you should be happy with the unit though, I know I am.

Microtech and the wrx injectors came in today. After seeing all of the wires im thinking about selling it back on ebay, and getting the lt10 from NSN.
