so recenlty a dominos delivery boy ran into my car which mangled my fender and wripped the front bumper off. insurance paid me $1700 but im getting all of the work done privately instead of at a body shop so im going to be saving about $500.

i have the typical mod list of intake exhaust intercooler ebc n other stuff. and now that my car breathes alright i really wanna unlock some more power. my car hits fuel cut alot around 10 psi and drives like crap. ive been eyeing the mpi tuner for quite sometime now and could come up with the rest of the cash if need be. but im wondering if this would be too much for me to handle. ive never done any serious wiring and never tuned a car.

so im trying to decide if i should get the mpi tuner or the protege garage cast single runner intake manifold and other toys.

I would personally do the intake mani first. You figure you would be better off doing all the bolt ons before EMS so you dont need to retune the car a second time after another bolt on. This is what I am doing.

well i talked to nick awhile back and he said youd learn to do the basic tuning yourself and work with it and then later down the road you spend the big bucks and get it dyno tuned. so if i got the mani down the road i could probably compensate. plus more hp without tuning is just making that ticking time bomb louder. im just tryna look at this from every angle.
