ok ive been trying to comprehend all of the bov location options, and i wnat to know if this one will work.

i basically want to replace the stock bpv with a type s, i found a flange that will fit into the stock hose, then i was thinking i would just recurculate it the same way as stock.

or i could vent it, and move the maf, but i have stock pipes, can you move the maf with stock pipes?

so do you guys think that either of these would work or would it stall and still have turkey?tia

The greddy type s recirculating would be the best way cuz if there isn't any recirculation with our cars, it will stall. Also, depending on your set up in the future, you will probably have to grow accustomed to the turkey.

Running the Type S on your stock pipes is not really going to work. If you want to run a BOV I suggest you replace the stock "cold" pipe. Intercooler to Throttle Body Pipe (http://www.***************/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=SUMSPCP&Click=806).
Running The Bypass and the BOV off of this pipe will greatly reduce the "turkey".

ya know, i dont even truely understand why a bov would make the car stall...i mean the maf reads the air before the little duct where the air is recirculated from the bpv. so whats the deal? someone wiser care to explain? and no im not gonna search

A BOV (vented to the atmosphere) causing it because it takes air that is already metered (thru the maf) and vents it. Result is you have less air at the TB then the car thinks, so the A/F ratio is incorrect.

but its not like when the bpv engages its sending the air right back into the engine because the tb is closed. i understand what youre sayin tho.

Yeah, but with the bypass valve the air goes back into the system after the MAF, so all the air is still there.

With a BOV venting to the atmosphere, that air is gone

but since the turbo is trying to force air into a closed throttle body meaning theres a charge in the pipes wouldnt the air going back into the intake tube simply escape out the filter

oh so thats why you relocate it to where its past the bov!
