okay, so i know that EMS threads are all over the place on here, but i've searched through stuff and haven't found a good answer for what i'm curious about (or perhaps i just haven't looked in the right places).
I want to go with something more basic than MPI or microtech i think, and my first thought was unichip, since its already got a boost controller in it i figured that would be less hassle. I also like the fact that it controls timing, since my car has had the flash. However, i've seen that with the DSM AFC you can do timing retard if you order it specifically that way. So, when the timing with the unichip is tuned, would it work out to be the same thing as getting timing retard with the AFC, or would the unichip timing tune be more advanced than that??
If i can get the same results with the AFC and an EBC and save some money, i'd be all over that.
