Hey All,
I'm fairly new to posting on the forum but ive been reading it since i first got my MSP in 2003. So far, all ive done is:
1.Injen Cold Air intake
2.Greddy BOV (venting)
3.Custom 2.5" exhaust
I've been itching to do something new to it, and I finally got some money to spend, so i was thinking this:
New short ram intake, I am not satisfied with the cold air, I feel like if i get a short ram, the air will get to the engine faster. New Corksport Intercooler, corksport.com has a real nice one for $200. Any other suggestions??
Anyone know where I can find a short ram for the MSP?? Help!

I wouldnt worry about buying the short ram, save the money for the intercooler and just convert the CAI into a SRI. There are threads floating around about how to do it.

Unless you go to a larger intercooler core, you're going to want to keep that CAI. Trust me, man. This has long been discussed here.

welcome!
there are alot of msps and a few boosted P5s rollin' around in south florida these days. Instead of buying an entirely new intake just use half of the cai.

Agreed. Just hook your filter up right next to the MAF or do some cutting and make sure to have a hole for the intake temp sensor.

Is a CAI even worth it to do? From reading many many posts everyone says a CAI is really useless unless you have a FMIC system. Basically they say its just a noise maker with little to no gain. Correct me if im wrong.

I did this the 1st day I got the car to try it out, aslo I wanted to hear the turbo spool and it ran fine. I just drilled a small hole in the top of the cone Filter for the temp sensor. Car ran fine, but i took it off cause it looked ghetto.

why didn't you just convert your injen cai to sri? i did. just remove the pipe going downward. and sri over cai all the way when you live in a flood plane. luckily ive never had to drive my baby in the water but it floods up to the knee caps like twice a year in houston so cai is just a bad idea.

Yeah man, I thought about that but I'm kind of testing this one out because of its design. The Dual pipe design sounds worth lookin' into...not only that I've read some pretty good reviews about em in forums..Read out about it:
