Ok, I really need some help. Im new here and I havent really gotten pictures of my car yet, but thats not important. Wat is important hear is that on my car im not building boost till almost redline. I can only hit about 3 pounds at redline in first but in second i can hit the 5.5 pounds at 4500 rpms. I dont understand what this could be? Ive checked all my vaccum lines and the only leak i can find is the one where my boost gauge hooks up to the BPV vaccum line. But the so small i wouldnt think it would affect the much of a boost variation. Does anyone have any ideas?

any leak can affect boost like that. try to fix it and check your boost again.
also inspect every plastic tubes (if you kept the original intake / intercooler piping) for cracks

the charge pipes are fine. But ever since this has happened the turbo is making the worst sound ever. it sounds like a mouse screaming or something of that nature....Really loudly!

there has been a few blown turbos here and there. is your car still under warranty?

I believe that you're having the same problem I am (turbo on it's way out/already there). I would check the oil feed line and the gasket surrounding it. Also check the charge pipes for oil. My turbo is blowing oil into my charge pipes, and I believe that is why the third cylinder piston has oil sitting on top of it...either that or a bad piston ring. But anyways...check that oil feed line gasket as you may be burning massive quantities of oil. Check your oil as often as you can too...

i just put mobil one synthetic in it 2 weeks ago and the level is the same. Should i pull the head off to check for oil?

Sounds like a Busted Turbo, but then again if your leaking anywhere it would cause a boost drop. Even the smallest leak can screw up your whole setup.

may be a faulty wastegate actuator too.

faulty actuator would result is more boost

not if it were to be somewhat stuck open, like mine did and had to be replaced.

but would it be leaking all 5.5 pounds?

mine would open really late, the actual acutator wouldnt pull

A bad actuator in my car left the wastegate open or not able to close fully and that meant slow spooling and real low boost.

Same exact thing happened to me and I had that whistling noise as well. The dealership didn't back me up with my warranty so i removed the turbo assembly and did a little modifying so the wastegate would fully close and not stick partially open. I also installed the atp 6 psi wga. Put the turbo back in and the car was as good as new. If you don't have a huge spike your wga is probably ok and it's just your wastegate acting up but if you are going to fix it yourself put in a new wga just in case. But before any of that double and triple check all your hoses and clamps again.

alright, so the dealership called me back and said they cannot find anything wrong, but there is, how do i convince them to get me a new turbo?

One thing the dealership likes to do is NOT take the car for a good test drive. They will let it sit, and drive it around the block while its cold and find nothing wrong, on top of that, when it's a turbo issue, they don't get on it enough to test it. Somebody else had a similar problem and they ended up taking one of the writers for a ride to prove it. I forget where the post was, i'll search around and see if I can find the post about it.

Mine is making the same noise. Seems to be only when it's hot. Is the consensus that this is the turbo itself or just the wga? Should i see if i could get warranty to cover it? Or is that just an uphill battle? thanks

My boost wouldn't go pass 4 psi either. How do I inspect for boost leak? Do I just look at the pipes by eyes? And what should I told the dealer to fix it?
Sorry for many noobs questions.
