I previously saw a kit that fit in the dash vertically by the heat/ac controls. This was specific to the Mazda3 and cost about $35. There was a second piece that was device-specific, and was about $30, so you could buy the iPod holder or switch it to a phone holder. I believe you could even buy a dual-device holder.
Can anyone point me to this product?? I cannot, for the life of me, find it anywhere.

Here is another option, if you don't want anything obstructing the airflow from your vents.

there are 2 proclip options one blocks part of the a/c temperature knob (not very much.) and one goes on a vent. i have the one that goes on dash near the temperature knob and my only problem is people who try to spread out in the passenger seat.

You are correct sir! I had already been to the site, but forgot about the one that clips in by the climate controls. As I was previously interested in the Honda Fit, I saw Proclip makes one for that car that clips in by the pseudo-vent window. It's up and out of the way of the passengers. Nice, but it would be a long run for the power cord.
